Thank you for taking the time to check out our blog and learn more about us and our hope of adoption! We hope to post occasional blogs about our lives and what we are up to. But mostly, our hope is that this blog can give others a glimpse of who we are in case they are considering placing their child for adoption. Or, that it can inspire and educate others about adoption and our journey to having a family!! Thanks for reading!

We probably need to take this blog down eventually, but I wanted to keep it up a little longer just to post our appreciation of an amazing adoption experience. We were contacted by a woman who we revere as one of the most amazing women in the world. She turned out to be the birth mom of our incredible little boy, whom we adopted last year. The word blessed would be an understatement. Thank you to all those who helped our little miracle come to our home. Adoption is nothing less than that... a true miracle that blesses the lives of many. We love every single second of being parents!!!

Nothing big to report, but I just wanted to do a blog to let you know that we are still actively hoping and waiting for a child. I had a chance to talk with a woman today who adopted her two children, who are now in their 30's. She talked about how wonderful the experience of adoption has been for her, the children, and everyone involved. It again strengthened my testimony of adoption and how it blesses so many lives.

In the meantime Rick and I have been busy with what we enjoy. I have been making lots of cakes and have attached a few pictures of those for fun. Rick is starting baseball season and we are going to be planting trees in our backyard to get ready for the Summer. Life is good and our lives are blessed!

Adoption Fundraising Event

We were able to go to a charity fundraising event for The Adoption Exchange yesterday. The Adoption Exchange is an agency that helps older children who need adoptive families find permanent homes. It was a great event to be a part of. It was a Hollywood theme...which you might pick up from the fun picture! Anything Rick and I can do to educate ourselves more about adoption or to bring positive attention towards the blessings of adoption we want to be a part of it! We met some awesome people and had a lot of fun. Plus, La Caille's food was yummy and the restaurant has an AMAZING atmosphere! What a great night!
